Ten strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, the bloodbath begins and one by one they are brutally murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme.

Director

Ken Long previously Directed or Co-Directed ACT’s Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Sweeny Todd, Singin’ in the RainYoung FrankensteinMonty Python’s SpamalotGame Show, and Meet Me in St. Louis. He has been an assistant director for many shows at ACT, the Majestic Theatre, and Corvallis Community Theatre. Some of his accomplishments include The MousetrapCurtainsThe ProducersChicago, and Little Women. He also assisted with the technical aspects of more than ten other shows at ACT and within the surrounding community. He works as the Classroom Support/Media Manager at Linn-Benton Community College and lives in Jefferson with his wife Patty.

Cast of Characters

Vera Claythorne: Female, 18 to 30. A young secretary with a complicated past.
Philip Lombard: Male, 25 to 40. A stubborn and abrasive mercenary.
Sir Lawrence Wargrave: Male, 60+. A retired, successful legal judge with a big reputation.
Rogers: Male, 40 to 60. House staff/butler type.
Mrs. Rogers: Female, 40 to 60. House staff/maid type.
Anthony Marston: Male, 18 to 25. A foolish, inexperienced thrill-seeker.
William Blore: Male, 40 to 65. A curious and secretive police-type.
General John MacKenzie: Male, 60+. A retired, successful military general. Widower.
Emily Brent: Female, 26 to 40. An abrasive and opinionated spinster.
Dr. Edward Armstrong: Male, 35 to 50. A nervous and somewhat paranoid surgeon with a secret.
Fred Narracott: Male, Any age. Brings the supplies every few days from the mainland.

Audition Information

Open auditions for And Then There Were None will be held at Albany Civic Theater on Monday, February 24th and Tuesday, February 25th. Directors may ask night one attendees to come to both nights of auditions depending on size of auditioning group. Doors open around 6:30 PM, auditions start at 7 PM and end around 9 PM. Callbacks will be held by invitation-only (if needed), on Wednesday, February 26th.

This production will be casting roles for 7 men and 3 women. Actors must be at least 18 years old to be considered for a part.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early to fill out an audition form. Please write clearly, especially your contact information. Headshots and acting resumes are not required, but always appreciated. You can also print out and bring a filled-out audition form with you to auditions. Bring a full list of your conflicts from March 1st-May 25th to provide the directors (weekday nights and weekends included).

What to prepare/expect:
There’s no need to prepare anything beforehand. Auditioners will read sides* (or excerpts from the script) during rehearsals. There will be group warm ups (physical) before auditions begin.

*Audition sides are available before auditions for actors to review ahead of time.
