About the Show
Dr. Henry Jekyll is a prominent and respected physician who believes in the theory that every man possesses a dual nature; one of good and one of evil. While delving into the obsession of his work, his friends take concern over his health and mental state. As it turns out, the evil side in Mr. Hyde ends up putting Dr. Jekyll in more trouble than he could ever imagine.

Auditions
Open auditions for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will be held at Albany Civic Theater on Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4. Auditions will begin promptly at 7 PM and run until around 9 PM. Auditioners should plan to attend both nights of auditions. Doors open at 6:15 PM. Callbacks will be held by invitation-only as needed on Wednesday, November 5.
Plan to arrive early to fill out an audition form. If you prefer, you can download and print the form linked below and complete it in advance. Please write clearly, especially your contact information. Headshots and resumes are not required, but always appreciated.

What to prepare/expect:
Auditioners will be reading from the script during auditions. Dress in comfortable clothes, as there will be group warm ups at the start of auditions.
Those auditioning for the characters of Dr. Jekyll and/or Mr. Hyde are encouraged to prepare a monologue (dramatic, classical, or contemporary). The monologues can be memorized, but memorization is not required. The monologues should be no longer than 2 minutes in length. If you don’t prepare/bring your own monologue, there will be some available at auditions to read from.
Actors 16+ will be considered. Actors under 18 will need permission forms signed.

Performances
Dan recently co-directed ACT’s Dial M for Murder, and has been on ACT’s stage as Hugh ‘Bullshot’ Crummond in Bullshot Crummond, Bill Slank in Peter and the Starcatcher, Paul in Moon Over Buffalo, Andre Bouville in The Dinner Party and the dead Boddy in Clue, he was Assistant Director for Assistant Director for The Prom, stage managed Moonglow, and was stage crew for She Kills Monsters. He is also the director for Mousetrap at Majestic Theater. He is a voice actor in training. Dan lives in Albany. His hobbies are hiking, working out, video games, and volunteering.
