Job Opportunity - Standardized Patients
We are sharing this information we received from Colin Salisbury. Please direct any questions you may have to Colin, his information is below.
Greetings from COMP-Northwest!
I’m reaching out today from WesternU Oregon to share information about an opportunity for part-time, flexible, remote work with the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific at WesternU Oregon.
The Department of Medical Simulation provides simulation-based educational opportunities to empower medical students to learn in safe environments as preparation for clinical practice. To accomplish this mission, we employ individuals as Standardized Patients (SPs) who portray patient cases and work with our students.
We are currently recruiting new SPs and are hoping to expand the representation in our SP pool to better reflect the diversity of patients that our students will serve as future physicians. We are hoping that you can help us get the word out by sharing this opportunity with your organization.
I’ve attached our recruitment flyer, which has additional information about the application and due dates. As standardized patient work is relatively unknown to many people, our FAQs page provides much more detail about the work.
Thank you so much for your time. Please reach out if you have any questions.
