Per-show ticket prices

Tickets for 2007-2008 are $10 general admission /$7 for people over 60 and under 18 for plays, and $12/$9 for musicals.

Tickets go on sale at our outlets 19 days before opening; for the first five days, they are available to ACT season ticket holders; afterward, they may be purchased or reserved by the general public. Popular shows - especially musicals - may sell out, so buy or reserve your seats early!

The theater box office, at 111 SW First Ave. in downtown Albany, opens 45 minutes before curtain time, and will hold reserved tickets until 15 minutes before the show, when they are subject to sale on a first-come, first-served basis to whoever is standing in line.

We do not take credit cards, but are glad to accept your personal check. Cash machines are available within two blocks of the theater.

Gift certificates: Looking for the perfect gift for your theater-loving friends and relations? Gift certificates for any number of tickets are available now. Buy them at our box office during any performance.

Evening performances (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) start at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees begin at 2:30 p.m. See the theater newsletter for special-event curtain times.

A seating chart is available here (in .pdf format) to help you select your seats. Note that:

• The auditorium seating area is raked and the back few rows elevated for better sight-lines.
• Front-row seats, particularly A1-2 and A9-10, sometimes provide less-than-optimum viewing because of the height and layout of our stage.
• We have asked our ticket outlets to sell seats marked with handicap symbols only to wheelchair users and their companions. If the tickets are returned to the theater with those seats unsold, they are available for general purchase on performance nights.
• Each of our two outlets has tickets for half the seats shown, in alternating rows. The back row ("P") is reserved for sale at the theater box office on performance nights. Seats P1 and P2 are usually reserved for production directors and their assistants but may be available on performance nights.
• Our acoustics are good, and for most productions there truly isn't a bad seat in the house.

Thursday nights are discount nights!

Students! Bring your high school or college ID card to any Thursday* performance and get half off the price of one ticket with purchase of one at the regular price.

ACT is proud to support public broadcasting by offering the same Thursday discount to Oregon Public Broadcasting members who present their OPB Member Club cards.

*Note: Subject to ticket availability. You may wish to call our outlets and reserve your seats ahead of time to guarantee seating, but discounts are granted only at the ACT box office on performance nights. Sorry, but discounts to not apply to musical productions.

Both outlets accept telephone reservations. If you wish to pick up reserved tickets at the outlets, please do so a day before the show - leftover and reserved tickets are delivered to the theater before each performance.

Season tickets

Sorry, we're done selling season tickets for 2007-2008. Check back in the summer for next season's prices!

Albany Civic Theater season tickets go on sale each summer for the season starting in September, and come in two varieties - one for the dedicated theater fan and one for more occasional patrons. Both work as payment vouchers and do not guarantee seating: Season ticket holders still must reserve their seats for each performance, then present the season tickets in payment at the ticket outlets or the theater box office. You may use your tickets to buy single tickets to different shows, or multiple tickets to a single show (a surcharge will be added for extra tickets to a musical).

Season ticket holders get a substantial discount from single-seat prices and first choice on seats, five days before they go on sale to the general public.

Season ticket types and prices for our 2007-2008 season (NO LONGER AVAILABLE) :

• Season Passes, good for admission to all 10 regular-season* shows.
• General audience: $92
• Juniors and seniors: (over 60, under 18:) $65
• Season Samplers, good for admission to any five regular-season* shows, including one musical:
• General audience: $47
• Juniors and seniors: $36

Because purchasers may "spend" several season ticket punches on a single show, samplers and passes remain good purchases well after the season is under way! Many of our patrons like to give samplers as gifts for holidays, birthdays and other special occasions.

*Sorry, but season tickets are not accepted for fundraisers and other special events
