The Diary of Anne Frank

A play by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett
Based upon "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl"
Newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman
directed by Kay Roth

Performances: Apr. 25, 26, 27m, May 2, 3, 4m, 8, 9, 10, 2008

Plus a special April 29 performance at Crescent Valley High School for Holocaust Memorial Week (tickets available from CVHS)

Newly discovered writings from the diary of Anne Frank, as well as survivor accounts, are interwoven to create an impassioned, contemporary story of the lives of people persecuted under Nazi rule, and the spirit, passion for life and prophetic thoughts of one young Jewish girl living in Nazi-occupied Holland. A new adaptation for a new generation.

"Undeniably moving. It shatters the heart. The evening never lets us forget the inhuman darkness waiting to claim its incandescently human heroine." The New York Times

"Wendy Kesselman's finely textured new 'Diary' tells a deeper story. A sensitive, stirring and thoroughly engaging new adaptation." New York Newsday

The April 29 special performance is a partnership between ACT and the Corvallis School District with Oregon State University's Holocaust Memorial Week. Tickets for that performance are available only from CVHS, and are not eligible for ACT season ticket purchase.
